Well, where did 2012 go? I’m sure we are all asking similar questions!

I seem to ask myself this type of question every year and I have come to the conclusion there is only one thing to do, hit the ground running and get cracking as soon as possible in 2013.

On reflection 2012 was a fantastic year I started my long-awaited furniture design business, had visits from all of our immediate family and traveled to some new and interesting places.

I am however extremely excited about the prospects and opportunities 2013 will bring. We have already had a fantastic review of our Tane Re-Loved collection in the January edition of the ‘Green Magazine’ , we will continue to grow this part of  Tane Design in 2013, with many more exciting Re-Loved mid-century vintage pieces being given a second life.

I am however particularly excited about the new designs that will be released by the Tane studio this year, particularly as they will all be launched at the 2013 Milan Furniture Fair as part of the salone satellite, which is an invite only event, showcasing ‘Up and Coming’ designers. Unfortunately I can’t show any pictures of the products at this stage, 1) because they aren’t ready! and 2) they are top secret, watch this space.

More new designs will then be launched later in the year at the Melbourne show ‘Design Made Trade’ . This will be a fantastic opportunity to show all facets of the Tane Design portfolio, including the latest Re-Loved Collections.

All in all it’s going to be an extremely busy year, so I had better take my own advice and hit the ground running in 2013!

I wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful 2013.
